This study found no evidence that marine omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) supplementation reduced either the incidence or severity of DED in adults. 1b

Dosing problem

Easy to say a substance is ineffective when using a fraction of therapeutic doses - which is 4 grams daily for omega 3FA (4 times what they used).

Fish oil supppements for DED

They only selected patients without DED. For me the mor important question would be whether it helps patients who already have dry eye.
