Interesting study with unnecessary prejudice.

I've always used an ulnar gutter splint with the safety position for these fractures so this is interesting. However this seems unnecessary:

The investigators enrolled 126 patients, 85% males (no surprise), average age 26 years (again, no surprise) with a closed fifth metacarpal

Can you imagine inserting any other racial, age, or gender group here? I know it's a joke, and maybe there's a place for this as a one off gag in a presentation. It should not be immortalized forever on our professional website.
