Facilitating meetings

Leading productive meetings that engage participants.
Course description

Every minute a physician spends in a meeting is time not spent with a patient, so you want to be sure the meetings you run are productive, efficient and useful for all. This course offers the fundamental skills necessary to facilitate effective meetings. You’ll learn the importance of leaving behind the traditional, authoritarian role of Chair in favour of becoming a more empathetic and approachable facilitator. You will hear how to create a productive and comfortable space where everyone feels safe and engaged — and will see how that results in team problem-solving and decision-making. A well-facilitated meeting taps into “group brilliance” and leaves participants feeling their time has been well spent.
