New board members bring extensive experience in innovation, technology and digital health

Joule is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alistair Erskine and Ms. Ann Watson as new members to its board of directors. They join new Board Chair Dr. Deepak Kaura whose appointment was announced on August 15.
Dr. Alistair Erskine is a physician trained in both internal medicine and pediatrics, who is now Chief Digital Health Officer at Partners Healthcare, where he is responsible for sequencing innovative technologies, harmonizing data across clinical care and ensuring patient engagement. As a member of the board, he will take on the role of digital entrepreneur, where he will help physicians integrate ultramodern technologies in healthcare. Dr. Erskine trained at Brown University and Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and is triple Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Clinical Informatics and Pediatrics. He completed a two-year degree MBA program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management along with MIT’s business analytics and artificial intelligence certificate. Alistair has been practicing medicine for 15 years.
Ann Watson is a seasoned impact investor with ample experience in corporate structuring, financing and venture capital within social enterprises as well as private and public markets. An entrepreneur with interests in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health, Ann has broad knowledge of the technology market and deep understanding of the demands of Canada’s aging population on our health care. Ann currently serves as an advisor at Turalt, a company dedicated to bringing empathy to technology, and was a founding member of Canadian Women in Private Equity and guest lecturer at Ivey School of Business. Ann hold a Master of Business Administration from Ivey School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. She is also a Certified Aging in Place Specialist.
